Students from UWIS participated in the yearly AISB basketball competition, representing both U19 boys’ and U19 girls’ teams. Notably, the U19 girls’ team secured third place in the tournament, triumphing over UWIS New Campus. Association of International Schools in Bishkek comprises six member schools: United World International School, Silk Road International School, Bishkek International School, QSI International School, Hope Academy of Bishkek, and Oxford International School.

AISB- Table Tennis Tournament

On the 20th of January 2024, the United World International School (UWIS) hosted the highly anticipated annual “Association of International Schools Bishkek” Table Tennis Tournament, solidifying its commitment to ongoing collaboration with local international schools in the region. This event, deemed a vital nationwide project, not only promotes healthy competition but also strengthens the ties between educational institutions.

Heartfelt congratulations are extended to the accomplished student who adeptly represented our school during this prestigious tournament. Notable achievements include securing the 2nd place, a well-deserved honor, by the outstanding duo of Alihan Kozubaev and Elizabeth Tsoi. Furthermore, the 3rd place was earned by the commendable pair of Baktybek uulu Abdurahim and Saibjanova Aisha, further adding to the school’s impressive display of talent in the realm of table tennis.

In a remarkable display of teamwork, both the girls’ and boys’ teams emerged triumphant, clinching first places collectively. This achievement not only highlights the prowess of individual students but underscores the cohesive and synchronized efforts of UWIS teams, solidifying the school’s standing as a force to be reckoned with in the realm of table tennis.

Our student`s success in their IGCSE results demonstrate their commitment and endeavor and we are very proud of their behalf of what they have achieved. It is also a testament to the ongoing support and direction of our inspirational teachers. Congratulations to one and all!” There were many individual successes amongst our students and we would like to share a few of these with you: Huda Shah, Chen Zhengyuan, Gregory Thomas Scott, Aijamal Imerova, Aibike Bazarbaeva and Ilim Stankulov– who were all awarded all A grades or above (a student with single B) in their IGCSE Examinations. First Day of School

We held a School Opening Ceremony which brought together parents, students, and staff after the extended holidays. Both teachers and students were enthusiastic about reuniting after the break. The event commenced with an address from our recently appointed Principal, Jason Neil. He extended a warm welcome to both parents and students as they embarked on a new school year. For our secondary students, an assembly was conducted in the conference hall. During this assembly, they had the opportunity to meet their new homeroom teachers and coordinators. International Day of Peace

Once again our students, guest speakers and staff at United World International School gathered to celebrate the International Day of Peace (September 21st). What is the International Day of Peace? The International Day of Peace (“Peace Day”) provides an opportunity for individuals, organizations and nations to create practical acts of peace on a shared date. It was established by a United Nations resolution in 1981 to coincide with the opening of the General Assembly. The first Peace Day was celebrated in September 1982. Earlier this week students have been working on their art projects and delivering unique messages on “What does Peace mean” to them. We are happy to have more than twenty nationalities representing here at UWIS and once again happy to celebrate our diversity and integrity on this special event!

UWIS Student achieves a perfect score in A Level Exam

Saebyul Gwan, a fresh graduate student at United World International School, got top marks in Mathematics(97), Economics(94), Business(94) and Geography(95). CEO of United World International School Mr Said Umaraliev, said Saebyul was one of the brightest students they have taught. He said: ‘Constantly in demand of a fresh challenge beyond his A-level studies, Saebyul has a unique intelligence and has made the most of the opportunities available to her both within and outside of school.’ As well as overachieving academically, Saebyul has also been invited to join Presidential Honors Scholars Program, the most prestigious program offered by NYU to the top 10% of the incoming freshmen. Saebyul Gwan has been accepted to NYU in 2022 to study Economics and Computer Science.
