OUR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME

United World International School is a non-profit day school providing a British style of education for children aged 5 to 19 years in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan’s capital city. UWIS  implements all four Cambridge programs and qualifications for students aged 5 to 19. The curriculum of the Cambridge programs develops learners’ understanding, knowledge and skills. The primary school follows the Cambridge Primary curriculum framework for each subject – English, English as a second language, mathematics and science – provided with a clear teaching structure. Cambridge Lower Secondary is typically for learners aged 11 to 14. There is a flexible framework for developing skills and understanding in subjects like English, geography, history, ICT, mathematics and science (chemistry, physics and biology). In Grade 9 and 10, UWIS offers a two year program/curriculum provided through the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).  Cambridge IGCSE helps improve performance by developing skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving.  In grades 11 and 12, students are prepared for university study by following Cambridge International A Levels. 

UWIS  is authorised by the Kyrgyz Republic Ministry of Education. UWIS was first registered by the University of Cambridge as a ‘Cambridge International Centre’ in 2014. Over 500  students from over 40 countries currently attend our school. Our students learn in a multicultural community where each person is respected regardless of nationality, race, or religion.
