College and Career Counseling
Preparing for life after high school starts well before application season. Our College and Career Counseling program helps students understand themselves, explore careers and universities worldwide, and build the confidence and skills to apply, and succeed, on their own terms.
Career Guidance
- Interest, personality, and strengths assessments that students revisit and build on over time, not a one-time quiz
- Exploration of career clusters across STEM, business, health, social sciences, humanities, and the arts
- Understanding which academic subjects, skills, and language abilities different careers actually require
- Research into how career paths and opportunities differ across countries
University Planning
- Turning academic strengths and interests into a realistic, balanced university list
- Comparing admission requirements, language proficiency exams (TOEFL, IELTS, HSK, TOPIK, JLPT, and more), tuition, and scholarships using real examples from official university sources
- Exploring university types (liberal arts, research, technical, and vocational) across North America, the UK, Europe, and Asia
- Understanding how university choice connects to future study and career opportunities

Joining later? No problem. Students who join after Grade 9 are never expected to have covered earlier material. Counseling is adapted to each student's starting point.
How Students and Parents Get Support
- Every class has one dedicated hour of college counseling per week, built around real examples from university websites and credible, verified sources, not generic advice.
- Individual appointments with students and parents are available during the counselor's free periods, based on each student's specific questions or situation.
- Students are always welcome to stop by without an appointment whenever the counselor is free and not already meeting with someone else.
- University representatives regularly visit UWIS to meet with students in person.
- Students are encouraged to join relevant online workshops and summits hosted by universities and organizations such as Pioneer Academics, with links shared directly through EduPage.
